

Sheila Thompson’s began her successful career in the entertainment industry in 1993, after deciding to forgo her engineering degree and abandon her lucrative career in semiconductor industry. She decided to begin on the ground floor, working as an extras casting director, and work her way up so that it would allow her hands on experience with every aspect of the production process. Gradually, she moved up to
producer and then to casting director. From there, she went on to be the creator of the comedy compilations, Comedy In the Raw (2003) Cougars and Kittens (1994), Geezers (2011), Lounge Lizards, and Studs (2013).
These various positions, while challenging, were not enough to satisfy her insatiable work ethic and so, in 1994, she founded Sheila Thompson Casting to help up and coming artists and to be a creative outlet to her overabundance of energy and ambition. Her agency would go on to recruit talent for television, music videos, commercials and an array of films including the Japanese remake of “Sideways”, the 2008 indie bio-pic, “Anna Nicole”, and the 2014 Indy release of “What Would Jesus Do 2” and Gods Club 2015 to name a few.
Over the next several years, Ms. Thompson produced Television show over 29 theatrical shows, including 16 plays and live events in India, Amsterdam, Singapore, Canada and Malaysia, garnishing to Artist Achievement Awards.
From 2010 thru 2014, Ms. Thompson assisted and was the onsite general manager for the Pan Pacific Film Festival while working various positions on the 168 Film Projects.
While managing those events, she also founded the Robert Lee Rush Foundation (robertleerushfoundation.org) in 2009 to empower, enrich, and enhance young adults and became the On-site Coordinator for K.E.Y.S (Kingdom Economic Yearly Summit) and at the F.C.C.I. (Fellowship of Companies for Christ International) in 2012.
By 2013, while still managing the festival circuit, she coordinated the red-carpet premiere and VIP after party for the movie “Doonby” starring John Schneider.
Most recently, in 2015, Ms. Thompson worked as the TV Casting Director for The Oscars Fashion Passport and Unify LA, out of the famed Stable Center.
She is always on the lookout for the next exciting, challenging, and rewarding project that can utilize her many skill sets, which now includes Voice over casting, to assist a team and enrich her career experience.
